DeconneXion, Deconnected?

Mirians are lucky to have free broadband WiFi connection provided by www.deconnexion.com.my. This is a government pilot project to encourage the use of internet.

It is a free access, sounds good!! HOWEVER, when you want to get serious into using the services, out of 10 times, you only get to use 1 or 2 times. Most of the time, the service is down. I have been patiently waiting for the improvement since the launching on 1 April 2007. But it seems like the connection is getting worse. I hardly able to use nowadays.

There are 3 access points at High Street; deConnecXion-1, 3 & 6. None of them functioning properly.

As for the Boulevard Commercial area; deConnecXion-13, worse still. It is not functioning at all. How long do we have to wait until it is 100% working properly? When the free period is over?

I was in Miri for 5 days late Jun and tried to use deConnecXion but not successful. However luckily Mega Hotel provide Free access and I was able to log on to the internet. The Free service you mentioned did not live up to my expectation. I have written about it in my blog.

You guys are right. Sometimes I simply can't use the deconnetedxion as well, but oddly enough my friend over in Bakam has been enjoying his wireless deconnexion surfing at super high speeds (maybe someone forgot to cap the bandwidth there).
