The Digitized Clock Tower

Almost five years after the clock breaks down, and was covered up and left for decay, just recently it was fixed, and "modernized" a bit - by turning it into a digital clock, no longer an old-fashioned mechanical one. Not surprisingly, this was a very swift move just as the elections are coming round the corner. Coincidence?

What do you think of this digital clock tower? Is it better to have the digitized version in digits instead of the 'analogue-style' face? Please give your opinions. Notice that time difference. For different time zones in Miri?

Pictures don't really do it justice. Visibility was less than 200 meters in some areas.
It's that hazy!

However, a few drops of rain *just now*, but it stopped as soon as it started. Is that the cloud seeding we've been hearing about?

Firefighters putting out a trash container fire at a car park in Center Point at noon yesterday (12th June 2009). Cause of fire is unknown.

New Old Shophouses.

The Old shophouses along China Street & Bendahara Road were demolished to make way for these New ones in replacement for the "old", hence this is known as the "New Old Town Center".
