Periwinkle (Catharanthus Reseus) is a small shrub with glossy leaves, with flowers a pinkish red hue or white in color. It is the official flower of Miri.
The Anti-Vandalism Forum hosted by the Anti-Vandalism Committee with the cooperation of the Miri City Council will be held on Saturday April 15th, 2006 at Ballroom 1 at Mega Hotel Miri, 8am.
The forum is open for mainly students & teachers. Seating is available for up to 800 persons, and participated by 20 secondary school & colleges, with 5 teachers and 30 students from each.
Millions of bat swarms out out of the Deer Cave in order to hunt for insects at dusk, usually about 5pm to 7pm. On some occasions they have been known to fly out at 4pm, usually on darker, cloudy days.
