Piasau Miri Branch Library is a library branch that is located in Piasau Jaya along Dato Permaisuri Road. Previously painted a brown / beige in color, the building had been repainted bright green some time during the Go Green Campaign.
Located alongside Dato Permaisuri road as far back as in the early 1980s, it was conveniently located within walking distance from a Dato Permaisuri Secondary School and just in front of the Sri Mawar Primary School.

The Baram Ferry used to operate at the Baram River, transporting vehicles and passengers across the river. The ferry was a vital link between Miri-Brunei border and for a long time it was the only way to get across.
Hamidah Orphanage Complex (Kompleks Kebajikan Hamidah) is an orphanage center primarily for Muslim children located at Taman Desa Indah 3, Permyjaya, Miri, Sarawak. As 2009, there are 92 children in the orphanage with the 16 staff providing assistance and guidance.
Long before Lutong bridge was constructed, the area had a ferry service, possibly at or near the site of what is now the Lutong bridge today. These pictures were taken on 4th July, 1945 during the ending stages of the Japanese occupation, by the Australian 2/13 infantry battalion aiming to reoccupy Sarawak from Japanese.
