The Miri Country Music Festival is a country music festival in Miri held once a year that showcases international country music bands that feature their rendition of rock, pop, contemporary, bluegrass and folk country tunes.
The one-day event showcases music workshops, line dance session, bazaar and music concert. The day’s program usually starts from 2pm onward with the opening of the bazaar followed with music workshops. The line dance session will be held from 4pm, while the concert will start from 5.30pm onward. Line dance and western enthusiasts are expected to get together to share and exchange dance technique and steps at the line dance sessions.
Introduced in 2013 in Kuching, Sarawak, and hosted in Miri recently, the Miri Country Music Fest is claimed to be the only Country Music Festival in this region.

Venue has since moved to Coco Cabana for subsequent events.

The Lambir Canopy Walkway project was jointly coordinated by Abang Abdul Hamid, an Entomologist with the Forest Department of Sarawak together with the late Professor Tamiji Inoue of the Center for Ecological Research, Kyoto University. ProfessorTamiji Inoue was killed in a plane crash in Lambir Hills National Park.
The Old Miri Airport was planned and built in the 1970s, where a demand for a more modern and longer runway was needed to accommodate Fokker 50s and the Boeing 737s for a booming commercial aviation as commercial flying became a more affordable way to travel.
The Wharf is a private high-rise strata-titled suites development located at the Miri Waterfront. The project is slated to be completed by 2016.
