Beautiful Jade Center is one of the older townships in Miri right at city center. Built up in the mid 1970s, the area is reknown for having shop buildings with circular balcony openings on its highest floor. Business traffic in this area remains strong today. The commercial area covers a pretty big area, which spans from the old town open market area to Soon Hup / Mega Hotel building.

Located in the southern part of the Beautiful Jade Center is the 'Old Folks' Street' or Persiaran Kabor.
