The Miri Peninsula is a piece of land that is bordered by water on three sides but connected to mainland Miri, split in between by Miri River.

A bowl of Kueh Chap normally contains herbal broth, pork meat, pork belly, pork intestines, fried tofu skin, boiled egg, 'you char kueh' (fried dough) and served with rice flakes.
