Limbang is a town in between the borders of Brunei. To get to Limbang by road, one has to go through Brunei immigration. The Limbang Regional Museum is located here in a fort built by Rajah Charles Brooke in 1897.

The old Miri General Hospital, which was located on the peninsular at the Miri river mouth had long been operated by oil company Shell, with financial assistant from the government.

The Old Miri Airport was planned and built in the 1970s, where a demand for a more modern and longer runway was needed to accommodate Fokker 50s and the Boeing 737s for a booming commercial aviation as commercial flying became a more affordable way to travel. 
Miri Square was a shopping complex building, which used to house the San Francisco Coffee House, along with many eateries serving local food.
