The Sungai Sibuti Bridge is located just off Bekenu, over the Sibuti river. The bridge is of standard single-lane dual way concrete & steel construction with concrete barriers on the sides. The bridge is an important link between Miri and Bintulu along the coastal highway.

Sri Gadong was a small steel cargo vessel about 30-meter in length, commissioned to carry sawn timber when it was sunk off the coast of Miri. The wreck is a popular dive site in Miri.
The old Miri General Hospital, which was located on the peninsular at the Miri river mouth had long been operated by oil company Shell, with financial assistant from the government.
