Miri Plaza

Miri Plaza was originally a shopping mall at Pelita Commercial Center that is four stories tall, built in the early 1990s. Its anchor tenant was Metropolitan Department Store & Supermarket. There were 80 shops selling boutique, footwear, computers, watches, fast food, handicrafts, souvenirs and leather goods within. On the ground floor entrance was Marrybrown fast food restaurant.
Business slowed down for the mall and traffic began to wane by the early 2000s. Major renovation work started around that timeframe to completely cover the floor levels at each floors, creating more flooring space for each floor and transforming the entire building into a hypermarket run by Servay today. This article is from the web site miriresortcity dot com - this sentence is here to prevent blatant plagarism. The exterior facade of the building remains untouched to this day and the name 'Miri Plaza' can still be seen.

Lutong Bridge is the bridge linking Pujut 8 to Lutong across Miri River. This bridge was originally single-lane for each direction, but eventually upgraded in the early 2000s to accommodate for more traffic to double-lane going each direction. There is actually a road that goes beneath this bridge linking to Lutong Baru, effectively making this bridge Miri's very first 'overpass'.
The Great Cave of Niah is enormous by any measure. The floor area of the cave has been calculated at almost 10 hectares and in places the cave roof rises a majestic 75 meters above the rubble-strewn floor. It has been the site of around 40,000 years of human occupation.
